I live in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. I’ve known and explored these hills my entire life. Today, while working on a logo design for a friends new company, I found something like this in my image search results. It looked like great shading practice for this woodcut thing I’ve been toying with.
You’d have to travel pretty far south to find mountains like this in WV, but they are here. I thought about doing rolling hills for his logo, but it just doesn’t have the same impact.
