Free Stuff? Pirate Day? Scallywags?

Last year, I threw a big event for International Talk Like a Pirate Day. A bunch of other blogs and sites joined in and we gave away a bunch of copies of the game. The publisher helped me out with all that and it was great fun to run.

This year… well… I’m being lazy. I’m giving away a personal copy of the game (brand new in shrink) just because I like being more personal than all that. If you want in, there’s two ways to enter:

    Because I didn’t want to feel cheap I decided to write this;

    The waves did crash upon the hull,
    our ship fit; but for the dead,
    through fog filled glass he swept the seas,
    the bluffs lay dead ahead,

    twas many weeks upon that ship,
    his men did lay in wait,
    the land before them bathed in mist,
    go back? nay, far too late….

    they took the boat towards the beach,
    the darkness thick and wet,
    from underneath their captains breath,
    they heard his godly threat,

    the jungle stood next to the sand,
    their eyes glazed past the trees,
    the silence of the night grew still,
    no noises but the breeze,

    they wanted me to stand beside,
    make their choices too,
    I was there for souls and blood,
    for liars whom tells truths.

    my presence was a prayer instead,
    as all these men did die,
    so bloody bodies sacrificed,
    the fog now parts the sky,

    i am the passing still at night,
    thieves take their last breath,
    i am the salt and all the seas,
    for you my name is death

    IT started out Pirate-y then got lost in the poem, SORRY!
