Building the Game – From the Cardboard Arcade? 1

This weeks Building the Game Podcast aired without anything special in the notes. No big announcement. No hint at the contents. That was entirely on purpose. If you are a fan of the show, and have already listened, you will already know what I’m talking about… if not, you should go listen. Seriously. I’ll wait. (You should be listening to each new episode anyways… these guys are great!)

Building the Game – Episode 74: Expectations and Guns Dot Blazin

So, what’s so special?

Jason and Rob approached me a few weeks ago asking for my input on a contest they were thinking of running… and they wanted to use the Cardboard Arcade as the foundation! Obviously, I said “yes” very quickly. I’d love to have others thinking about, and designing games with the Cardboard Arcade system. That’s why I made it Creative Commons in the first place!

This weeks episode announced the contest and Jason sparks it off by offering us a pitch of his Cardboard Arcade idea, Guns Dot Blazin’. To enter the contest, all you need to do is pitch us a game using the Cardboard Arcade. It really is that simple. We aren’t even asking that you submit a working game… just an idea really. You’ll need to listen to the episode for the full details.  The contest runs until the end of November and I’ve offered to supply the prize: a fresh copy of the (soon to be) newly updated Paper Route!

We look forward to receiving your entries!
